The NFL draft is finally in the books and the 2018 HDL rookie draft is right around the corner. Lets take a look at how things could play out in round 1 on draft day.

  1. Bpou- Saquon Barkley RB. Things aren’t going to well for Barkley as of late. First he gets drafted to a team with no offensive line and now to a team with no other good players on it’s roster.
  2. Ian- Derrius Guice RB. I don’t really know what Ian is going to do with this pick, but Guice is the consensus number two player in this draft. He will likely step in and start right away. Ian will have a pretty good RB core with Guice added in the mix.
  3. Mike- DJ Moore WR. Mike has three picks in a row so order doesn’t really matter here. I think he will defintely take Moore with one of his picks.
  4. Mike- Sony Michel RB. Now Mike will look to get people that can be instant starters on his roster (not saying much) and help him begin his rebuilding process.
  5. Mike- Ronald Jones RB. RoJo landed in the perfect spot for a fantasy running back and should instantly be the RB1 in Tampa.
  6. Billy- Rashaad Penny RB. Billy finally takes a running back and gets a day 1 starter while doing so. If Seattle gets some O-linemen, Penny could be a nice pick here.
  7. Hallahan-Calvin Ridley WR. Adding a WR to the deepest WR core ever is a must. I think Scott and Hallahan will be thrilled to see Ridley available at this juncture.
  8. Sarlo- Nick Chubb. RB. I dont think Sarlo is too thrilled with this scenario but Chubb will likely be the starter in Cleveland sooner rather than later.
  9. Bpou- Christian Kirk WR. Bpou’s got his two stud running backs, now he needs to add some WRs. Bpou isnt the type to wait around and rebuild is roster. Kirk will have the most immediate impact in Arizona and likely see a good amount of targets early on.
  10. Head- Royce Freeman RB. Head just dumped Booker to me and is gonna replace him with the same guy the Broncos chose to replace him. Freeman should be the starter in Denver very early on.
  11. Sarlo- Courtland Sutton WR. Unlike Bpou, Sarlo is the type of person to wait around for guys (that usually don’t pan out). Sutton has a lot of upside and will see a chance in the near future but won’t add much value right away. I think Sarlo’s fine waiting a year or two until Sutton has the chance to earn a starting job.
  12. Hallahan- Kerryon Johnson RB. Hallehederer addresses WR with the first pick and can now add the best remaining running back on the board. Detroit has a bunch of pass catching backs but Johsnon could become their bell cow in the future.
